He was predeceased by : his sibling Thomas Merrill. He is survived by : his wife Ellen R. Merrill (Scully); his children, Carl L. Merrill, III (June) of Chelsea, ME, Michael Merrill (Barbara) of Medford, Jon Merrill (Patricia) of Salem, NH, Mary Cain (John) of Arlington, David Merrill of Reading, Kristine Merrill of Stoneham and Matthew Merrill (Erin) of North Andover; his grandchildren, Amanda, Kenny, Katrina, Meghan, Maura, Michael, Jonathan, Jennifer, Bobby, Haily and Eliana; his great grandchildren, Emery and Elena; and his sisters, Madeline Murphy of Wilmington and Judith Foehrenbach. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
