She was predeceased by: her husband Roger W. Tobey; her parents, Carl H. Christensen and Laura Christensen (McAuley); her daughter Carla C. Goossen; and her sister Carol E. Valitus.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce W. (Diane WilsonTobey) of Medford, Nancy E. Tobey (David S. Cogen) of Ayer, David A. Tobey (Patricia "Tish" Gallagher) of Melrose, Carol E. Somers of Roslindale and Barbara J. (Brian G. MacCorkle) of North Andover; her caregiver Ruth L. Palmateer of Brockton; her brother Carl H. (Geraldine Christensen) of Lynchburg; her grandchildren, Gary, Anneke, Jennifer, Melissa, Christa, Liam and Katy; and her son Richard S. Tobey. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
