She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Doctor Hammett and LaBlanche Phillips Puryear; her husband Melvin S. Johnson Sr.; her sons, Melvin S. Johnson, Jr. and Irving C. Johnson; her siblings, Anna Jane Finley and Eugene Puryear; and her great grandchildren, Zion Okyere-Yeboah, Miah Williams of California, Trevor, Jonah Burgo of Massachusetts, Johnathan, Myles Gomes-Boisvert, Maya Gomes-VanPelt of New Hampshire, Jeremy Duhon of West Virginia, Zoe Lovett and Samaya Lovett of Massachusetts. She was also cherished by her parents, sister, brother, aunts, uncles and cousins.
