He was predeceased by: his father Neil E. Whitney; his brother John C. Whitney; and his brother-in-law David Kistner. He is survived by: his mother Virginia Whitney (Lombardo) of Maynard; his siblings, Karen MacLure (Ralph) of The Villages, FL, Kristen Kistner of Leominster, Neil Whitney of Maynard, Mark Whitney (Emmy) of Acton and Linda O'Connor (Megan) of Salem; and his uncle Jim Giles of Waltham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
