He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph A. Boardman and Irma Boardman (Osmo). He is survived by: his wife Joyce A. Boardman (Marriner); his son James R. Boardman; his close friend Lisa Hjelm of Ashby, MA; his daughters, Jennifer A. Condon (Brian Condon) of Maynard, MA and Barbara Cardarelli (Boardman) of Sterling; his stepson Nicholas Kavalchuck; and his grandchildren, Michael J. Boardman of Maynard, Cody Condon of Maynard, Dorothea Condon of Maynard, Connor and Luke Stelmach of Sterling.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to McLean Hospital Alzheimer's Research in Belmont, or Buddy Dog Humane Society in Sudbury.
