He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James Read McKendry and Phyllis McKendry (Edmond); his siblings, Phyllis (Stanley Parker) and David Andrew McKendry; and his siblings-in-law, James Walker and Helen McKendry.
He is survived by: his wife Judith McKendry (Derk) of Maynard, MA; his sons, Michael David McKendry of Boxborough, MA and Joseph Edward McKendry (Susan Hass McKendry) of Brookline, MA; his grandchildren, Elsie, Owen and Lotte McKendry; his siblings, Dr. James Read McKendry Jr. of Manchester, ME and Mary Walker of Austin, TX; and his sister-in-law Trudy McKendry of Narragansett, RI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to South Acton Congregational Church, 35 School St, South Acton, MA 01720 to support church missions such as: food pantry, Habitat for Humanity, Days for Girls, and support for two local Afghan evacuee families.
