He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Layton Bernhardt and Marjorie Alice (Becker); his former wife Noel; and his sister Joan Langevin. He is survived by: his spouse Joan M. Bernhardt; his brothers, David Bernhardt of Hudson, MA and Gary Bernhardt of Pattersonville, NY; his nieces, Christine Smith and Sherri Chapman; and his stepchildren, Suzanne Rivera, Francesca Rivera, Jorge Rivera and Frank Rivera.
