He was predeceased by: his parents, Jorge and Esperanca Soares (Puim). He is survived by: his wife Vera D. Costa (Demetrio) of Mattapoisett; his children, Grace M. Carreiro (Marino) of Mattapoisett and Demetrio Costa (Jennifer) of Tiverton, RI; his siblings, Maria Linhares of New Bedford, Edward Costa of Virginia, Jorge Costa of Florida, Jose Costa (Grace) of New Bedford and Manuel Costa of New Bedford; his granddaughters, Sophia Carreiro, Olivia Carreiro, Alyssa Costa and Olivia Costa; and his great grandchildren, Adriana, Eli and Hudson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
