He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph Lopes Jr. and Emilia Lillian Morris Lopes; and his brother Richard A. Lopes. He is survived by: his wife Darcel Robinson Lopes; his children, Jelani A. Lopes, Kai Y. Lopes-Stovell (Myron Stovell) and Halim D. Lopes (Latia A. Lopes); his brother William J. Lopes Jr. (Billie Lopes); his aunt Cynthia Morris; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Robinson Brown, Earl D. Robinson (Judy Robinson) and Andre L. Robinson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, loving cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and very special friends.
