He is survived by: his wife Eleni McGrail (Karalis); his children, Alison McGrail, Laura Doyle, Tassia McGrail and Michael McGrail; his parents, Michael McGrail and Mary McGrail (Dinneen); his siblings, Tim McGrail, Eileen Broderick and Dave McGrail; and his son-in-law Peter Doyle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
