We bid farewell to John Harrington Donovan III of Mashpee, Massachusetts, born in Malden, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 19, 2024 at the age of 74. John Harrington touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Donovan (Ryan) and John Harrington Donovan Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Donovan (Doyle); his sons, Ryan Patrick Donovan (Aurica) of Philadelphia, PA, John H. Donovan IV (Cari), Michael Doyle Donovan (Mary) of Fairfield, CT and Matthew Doyle Donovan (Erica) of Little Silver, NJ.; his sisters, Paula Lowe, Charlene Scangas, Mary Geist and Julie Malcolm; and his grandchildren, Simon, Jack, Lila, Charlie, Emalyn, Ellie and Sam. He is also survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Mashpee (74 Algonquin Ave, Mashpee, MA 02649). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Church (5 Job's Fishing Rd, Mashpee, MA 02649). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Great Neck Road Cemetery (251 Great Neck Rd S, Mashpee, MA 02649).
