She is survived by: her husband John Astor Simmonds, Sr.; her children, Charlotte Simmonds-Hammons (George Hammons), Susan Simmonds-Jennings (Phillip Jennings), John Astor Simmonds, Jr. (Natalie Franco) and Dennis Raymond Simmonds (Roxanne Grant Simmonds); her grandchildren, Damali Simmonds, Jarvis Hammons, Shayna Simmonds-Jones, Catherine Hammons, Nicole Simmonds-Jordan, John Tyrus Simmonds and Bomani Simmonds-Jennings; and her sister-in-law Helaine Alethea Simmonds. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
