With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anne D. Griffin of Mashpee, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 8, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher McDermott and Josephine McDermott of Quincy, MA.; and her siblings, Christopher McDermott (Dorothy), James McDermott (Marion), Kathryn Hager (Carl), Dorothea Basney (John), Mary Boyd and Josephine Tinney (Joseph).
She is survived by: her former husband William Griffin; her children, Christopher (Jill), Deborah Anne (late Dimitri Karagiannis), James Sr., Judith, Marianne, Janette (late Glenn Mehrman) and Erin (Stephen McGarrigle); her grandchildren, Marley (Rosemary), Christopher (Cortney), Alexandra, Marina, Joanna (Luis Hernandez), Josephine, Ryan, Faith (Stephen Granato), Kathryn (Steven Mathews) and Jerome; her grandchild-in-law Ryan; her grandchildren, Sean Robert, Nicole (Cameron Drew), Andrew and Reed McGarrigle; her great grandchildren, Elyza, Haleigh, Charlie, Frankie, Santino, Marco, Marius, Hailey, Joseph, Mia, Anthony, Zoey, Alexa, Vasilios, Charlotte and Jocelyn Marie; and also, Anne Marie, Lisa, Brenda and Doug. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate in her memory to the Home for Little Wanderers where she would volunteer during the holidays when she worked at John Hancock in Boston.
