We are sad to announce that on January 25, 2021, John Toomey of Marshfield, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Toomey and Elizabeth Toomey (Dunleavy); his brother Robert Toomey; and his brother-in-law Michael Paull (Cecilia) of Whitman. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Toomey (Paull); his children, Jonathan P. Toomey (Erin) of Marshfield and Kristen Shepherd (Joshua) of Scituate; his grandchildren, Isla, Matthew Toomey, Mia and Austin Shepherd; his siblings, Richard Toomey (late Lori) of Whitman, Mary Loughnane (John) of Melrose and Ann Lahiff (Michael) of Melrose; his cousin Robert Dunleavy (Kay) of Virginia; his brother-in-law Elliot Paull (Sally) of Seattle, WA; and his friends, William and Barbara Sullivan of Naples, FL.

Please note that face masks or coverings are required and social distancing guidelines in effect inside and out of the funeral home and church, and that space in the church will be limited.

Robert Stanford wrote a sympathy message

“Both Libbie and I were shocked to hear of John's passing. He will be remembered as a good friend from many years past. Wish we could have seen him at The Irish Village but that too was cancelled. Please accept our deepest condolences. Libbie and Bob Stanford”
