With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Marie Abbruzzese of Marshfield, Massachusetts, born in Newton, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 17, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jean departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jean. Though Jean may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William R. Abbruzzese; her children, Denise Johnson and Michael Abbruzzese (Polly); her child-in-law Ketih Johnson; her grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Michael, Jared and Nicole; and her siblings, Richard Petipas (Judy) and Maureen Sulivan (late Donald). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Burke & Blackington Funeral Home (1479 Washington St, West Newton, MA 02465). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Corpus Christi-St. Bernard Parish (1529 Washington St, Newton, MA 02465). A burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at the St. Mary's Cemetery (57 Wellesley Ave, Needham, MA 02494).
