He was predeceased by: his son James Edward Jr.; his parents, Edward D. and Helen S. (Perkins) of South Boston; and his sister Joan Bell (Joannie). He is survived by: his wife Helen F. Barry (Rooney); his daughters, Mariellen Barry Shields of Fl, Kristen Barry McNeil (Rich) of North Attleboro, Karen Barry (Nelson) of Marshfield and Jackie Barry (Michael) of Marshfield; his grandchildren, James, Micaela, Erica, Sophie, Ryan, Ella, Caelyn and Ava; his great grandchildren, Aaden, Mason, Jackson and Killian; and his siblings, Gail Hartman (Jerry) of Hull, Lorraine Barry (Rainie), Patrick Perkins (Paddy) and Edward Barry (Eddie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
