Jacob R Goldbas wrote a sympathy message

“When I was in Hebrew School, I was always rebelling on the Sabbath. One Saturday, Mrs. Gerstein told me to sit with Phil. Phil taught me the Vyahafta that day, which is very difficult to spell in English I'm finding these days. We reconnected at our mutual friends' Dave and Sara Yoss's house in New Hartford somewhere in the college and post-college years. Phil was friends with my brother Sol, and sisters Raina, and Julie. I'm grateful to Phil for being so kind to me.”
