It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Dorsett (Marlborough, Massachusetts), born in Cowpens, South Carolina, who passed away on July 31, 2023, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Lloyd Jonas; and her brother Brian Jonas. She is survived by: her mother Nina Faye Jonas of Cowpens, SC; her husband Dr. Terry W. Dorsett; her children, Katie (Logan Loveday) of Marlborough, MA, Taylor (Leah Dorsett) of Missoula, MT and Jonas (Shannen Dorsett) of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Emery, Lawson, Elliott and Sadie; her sister Janice; and her brother-in-law Ty Childers of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Renovation Fund, P. O. Box 248, Marlborough MA 01752. According to Kay's wishes, people are invited to bring purchased, packaged, individually wrapped snacks to be donated to patients going through Chemotherapy treatment in her memory.
