He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Demeritt and Eleanor Demeritt (Johnson); and his wife Judith A. Demeritt (Marchant). He is survived by: his grandson Brooks Jr.; his children, Steven Demeritt (Karen) of Northbridge, Wendi Demeritt of Hudson, Diana Demeritt of Marlborough and Lynda Demeritt of Marshfield; his grandchildren, Michael, Devin, Aayana, Anthony (Tony) of Ashley, DJ, Marcus, Alyssa and Abigail; and his sisters, Anne Bernadette and B. T..

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in George's name to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, http://www.stjudes.org.
