He was predeceased by: his wife Berniece M. Childs (DeMoranville); his brother Arthur; and his cousin Myron Shepardson. He is survived by: his son Kent R. Childs of Marion; and his siblings, Robert Childs of Wrentham, Ruth Marks of Lexington, KY, Rev. Donald Childs of Winfield, IL, Rev. Lloyd Childs of Caldwell, ID, Walter (Bill), Bessie and Bruce.
