He was predeceased by: his parent Arthur E.; and his brother Robert Bassett. He is survived by: his parent Florence H. Bassett (Bumpus); his wife Janice Bassett of Marion; his children, George Bassett (Joann) of Lakeville, Mary Melanson (Scott) and Wareham; his brother Arthur Bassett; his grandchildren, Glenn Bassett, Dean Bassett and Kassandra Noble; his great grandchildren, Mason Noble, Logan Lovasco, Gavin Bassett, Jayden Bassett and Kalianna Lovasco; and also Wareham.
