He was predeceased by: his wife Joanne M. Nye (Boys); and his father Nathan B. Nye, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Rosalind Nye (Abreu) of Marion; his sons, Douglas A. Nye, Jr. and Ryan C. Nye of New Bedford; his brothers, Nate Nye (Jody) of Marion, Steve Nye (Heidi) of Marion and Chris Nye (April) of Marion; his stepchildren, Christopher McCra, Robert McCra, Steven Slater (Sean Slater), Angela Cathcart and Keith Cathcart; and his grandchildren, Henry William Nye of New Bedford, Brandon Wilbur, McCayla Dupont and Destany Galary. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
