He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce T. Orton (Tinney); his parents, Paul L. Orton and Eugenia Ralph (Darling); and his son Brett M. Orton. He is survived by: his children, David V. Orton of Westford, Scott D. Orton of Attleboro, Janine M. Phillips of Mansfield and Todd W. Orton; his grandchildren, Kassandra, Helen, Tyler, Hannah, Connor and Colin; his sister Susan Rosenbaum (Andy) of Chicago; his nephew Joshua; and his niece Rebecca.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home (55 N Main St, Mansfield, MA 02048).
In lieu of flowers, Von's family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Mansfield Food Pantry, 15 West Street, Mansfield, MA 02048.
