We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2023, at the age of 94, Lillian (Bednarek) Niemiera of Mansfield, Massachusetts, born in West New York, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Stephen R. Niemiera; and her parents, Karzmerz Bednarek and Stella Bednarek (Hencel). She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Shanley (Edward) of Attleboro; her grandsons, John Shanley and William Shanley; and her sister Ann Lucyk of Pompton Lakes, NJ..

Additionally, she spent one year at Brown University on a National Science Foundation Grant.
