He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jean Barrett; his children, Colette Sweeney (Andy, Joanne Leary), Melanie Coia (Bob, Chris Barrett) and Tanya Lawrence (Eric); and his grandchildren, Kaci Sweeney, Conor Sweeney, Cameron Sweeney, Derek Leary, Kyle Leary, Spencer Leary, Aidan Coia, Alec Coia, Eagan Coia, Griffin Lawrence and Ella Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Rhode Island and New England Center and Home for Veterans in honor of those who fought valiantly and those who continue to thrive.
