He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Faasse and Louise Faasse (Jeltema); and his sister-in-law Shannon Faasse. He is survived by: his wife Susan M. Faasse (Mitchell); and his children, Marc, Nancy Faasse, Kris Faasse, Jan, Tom Hoffer, Susan, Paul Bogardus, Jim Faasse, Judy Mitchell, Bethany Buck, Diane and Patrick Brannon. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews.

Donations in his memory may be made to MGH Cancer Center, In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Daniel Faasse to support Pathology Related Cancer Care at the Mass General Cancer Center.
