He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio D'Amaral and Marion D'Amaral; his wife Rita Ann Donahue; his daughters, Diana M. Thibert and Brenda D'Amaral; his siblings, Rosie Butler and Edward D'Amaral; and his grandson Daniel.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael J. D'Amaral of Portugal, William V. D'Amaral of Florida and Richard A. D'Amaral of Everett; his sister Barbara Cusack of Melrose; and his grandchildren, William, Kelly, Heather, Anthony, Megan, Jeanine, Jessica and Jason. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
