It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Stelmack of Malden, Massachusetts, born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 6, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Stelmack and Josephine Stelmack; and his brother Edward. He is survived by: his wife Gabriella Snyder Stelmack; and his children, Adrianne Stelmack and Michael Stelmack of Stoneham.

“Richard and I grew up as next-door neighbors, just a year apart. I once scared my mother by disappearing when I was maybe four years old. She searched the neighborhood, calling for me. I finally reappeared from the Stelmacks’ cellar. Richard and I had been pretending his mother’s laundry basket was a boat, singing “Sailing, sailing, over the bounding main” at the top of our lungs, so we heard none of the excitement outside. Many years and miles since then. My condolences to Richard’s loved ones.”
