He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Petraglia and Grace Petraglia (Marra); and his brother Ralph (late Dianne). He is survived by: his sister Ann Gilbert (Larry); his daughters, Marisa and Jonelle; his grandson Brian; his spouse Alessandro Goncalves; his grandchildren, Rylan and Brinley; and also Tyler.

In lieu of flowers donations in Richard's memory may be made to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital for Spinal Cord Injury, 300 1st Ave., Boston, MA 02129.
