He was predeceased by: his father Martin Horkan; and his wife Anne Horkan. He is survived by: his brothers, Chris and Vincent; his children, Marie DiMeglio (John) of Wakefield, Joanne Pelletier (Michael) of Bedford, NH, Theresa Ventura (Paul) of Melrose, Michelle Colburn (Kevin) of Eliot, ME and Martin "Marty" Horkan (Cathy) of Malden; his sister Nuala Horkan (William) of Perth; his grandchildren, Martin Pelletier (Jessica), Siobhan Pelletier, PJ Ventura, Julia Ventura, Liam Horkan and Sean Horkan; and his great grandchild Eva Joanne Pelletier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 9:15 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Parish (770 Salem St, Malden, MA 02148). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Woodlawn Cemetery (302 Elm St, Everett, MA 02149).
