She was predeceased by: her parents, John McLaughlin and E. Margaret McLaughlin (Freeburn); and her pet Billy. She is survived by: her son Steven Cushing (Susan) of Everett; her sister Janet Riley (John) of Florida; and her granddaughters, Leah, Cameron Cushing of Everett and Dana Cushing (Eleanor) of Malden. She is also survived by friends and family members.
