He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward Summers and Melvina Delaney; his wife Mary Summers (Crawford); his daughter Danielle Summers; his brother Freeman Summers; and his stepdaughter Kimberly Melanson.

He is survived by: his grandsons, Jeffrey and Joseph Melanson; his children, Joseph Micalizzi-Summers, Deano Summers and Christopher Summers; his siblings, Robert Summers, George Summers, Ronald Summers, Dorothy Summers and Mary Summers; and his pets, Cash and Murphy.
