He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Bayers and Lois Bayers (Norris). He is survived by: his children, Robert Bayers (Skot) of Texas and Bonnie Bayers of Virginia; his brother Robert Bayers of New Hampshire; and his cousins, David Marsters of Florida and Lloyd Marsters of Massachusetts.

He was also Treasurer for the 630 Club for many years, and really enjoyed calling the numbers for bingo on the weekly bingo night (pre-covid).
