He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lemist and Marie Lemist (Laudato); his son Michael; and his siblings, John, Robert, Michael and Annmarie (Bolz).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lemist (Sullivan); his son Justin Lemist; his brothers, Thomas Lemist (Betty Ann) of Carver and Paul Lemist of Australia; his siblings-in-law, Judy Lemist of New Hampshire and Rick Bolz; and his daughter-in-law Denise Berry of Michigan. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
