He was predeceased by: his mother Violet Haines; and his brother James Haines of Virginia. He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Haines (Sandgren); his children, Mark Haines (Lori) of Billerica and Debra Regan (Bernard) of Melrose; his grandchildren, Peter (Beth) and Amy (Robert); his great grandchild Delilah; and his siblings, Frank Haines of North Carolina and Pat Kaufman of Indiana. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home (144 Salem St, Malden, MA 02148).
