He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary L. "Marie" Laverdure; his sons, Jean-Marc Laverdure (Julie) of Wakefield, Gregory Laverdure of Malden and Anthony Laverdure (Stephanie) of Malden; his grandchildren, Ava, Bella and Zachary; and his sibling Claire McGrath.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research, Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
