She was predeceased by: her husband Willy Barat; her parents, Hyman Zide and Gertrude Zide; and her brothers, Harold Zide and David Zide.

She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Barat and Phillip Barat; her grandchildren, Rachel Barat, Julia Barat, Robert Barat and Adrianna Ammerman; her children-in-law, Cathy Cohan, Kim Barat and Linda Barat; and her nieces and nephews, Russell (Jennifer Zide), Jay Zide, Michael (Terry Barat), Nelu (Marie France Bercu), Paul (Mala Raducanu), Rodiqua Vutescu and Sylvia Bercu.

“In loving memory of Florence Barat, I was very sad to hear of Florence’s passing. I was her Dental Hygienist for over 40 years and was very fond of her. She was very proud of her family and always spoke very lovingly about them. She also was in the same high school graduation class as my father so she would always reminisce about her childhood in Malden. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a very big heart. I will miss her!! Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss.”
