Edith Smolens Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Smolens (Malden, Massachusetts), who passed away on April 12, 2018 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Irving Smolens; her sibling Richard Roud; and also Joanne Smolens. She is survived by: her child Karen Smolens; her significant other Robert McCarthy; her nieces and nephews, Barbara Berger (Stephen Patten), David Berger (Robert Vargas), Jonathan Smolens, Jeremy Smolens and Sarah Berger-Patten Edith; and also Henrietta Dilyock.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MHS Permanent Scholarship Fund in the name of Joanne Smolens http://www.mhsfund.org, Temple Beth Shalom, Melrose, or the Melrose Public Library.
