She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Merrill and Edith Merrill (Rogers); her husband George A. Hewitt; and her daughter Deirdre Dunlea. She is survived by: her son-in-law Ronald Lombardi; her children, George A. "Todd" Hewitt, Jr. (Janet) of Creswell, OR and Cherie Lombardi (Ronald) of West Warwick; her grandchildren, Tara Greenberg, Ryan Lombardi, Dr. Matthew Lombardi, Lori O'Brien, Susan Melton, Justin Dunlea and Shawn Dunlea; her niece Marianne Shakespeare of Plymouth, MA; her friends, Lorraine Lombardi and Beverly Messeire; and her son-in-law Daniel Dunlea. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
