He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stanley V. Colson and Elsbeth B. Colson (Horath); his siblings, Ralph Colson (Linda Bellofatto) and Carl Colson (Judy); his nieces and nephews, Matthew, Allison, Daryl Ann and Elsbeth; and his pet Buddy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Acquired Brain Injury Waiver through the University of Massachusetts Medical School who helped keep him at home.
