He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary; his parents, Vincent Protz and Lydia Protz (Souza) of Lynn; his children, Lisa (Derek Banker), Todd (Ruthie), Craig Protz (Jeannine White), Mary (John Mills), Leanne Welch and Thomas Briggs; and his siblings, Keith Protz (Susan Behen) and Patricia Campbell. He was also cherished by grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
