He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shay and Doris Shay (Horsford). He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy "Dottie" Shay (Blaney); his daughters, Janice Betz (Shay) of Lynn and Wendy Ohannesian (Shay) of Lynn; his grandchildren, David, Kayla, Cameron Betz, Jaiana, Sammy and Braeden Ohannesian; his son Edwin Shay of Virginia; his sons-in-law, David Betz of Lynn and Sam Ohannesian of Lynn; his sisters, Patricia Gallant of Mansfield and Linda Janes of Norfolk; and his pets, Loki and Mittens. He is also survived by his many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
