He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Newhall, Sr. and Mary Ellen Newhall (Jennings); his son Stephen Newhall; and his sisters, Patricia Dixon (Newhall) and Helen Durgin (late Harold).
He is survived by: his wife Linda (McGovern); his children, Gregory T. Newhall of Lynn and Leah A. Ryan (late Mark); his grandchildren, Sarah and Zack Ryan of Swampscott; and his brother Thomas Newhall. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
