She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Latimer and Caretha Odom; and her sisters, Lee Ethel Grant, Dolores Odom-Clark and Lynn Latimer-Newsom.

She is survived by: her daughter Tomeka Latimer; her husband Bernard Dorsey; and her sisters, Andrea Hendricks, Caretha Anderson, Wanda Johnson, Wendy Latimer Owie, Pamela Burton, Renee'Smith and Simona Shazier. She is also survived by her husband, children and grandchildren.
