It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary E. Upton of Lynn, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Upton; her parents, Herbert Kitchener and Mary Kitchener (Marks); her daughter Patricia Rand (James) of Florida; and her sister Barbara Riley.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Nowell (late John) of Stoneham, Thomas Upton, Jr. (Laura) of Everett, Pamela Lalama (John) of Laconia, NH, Russell Upton (Kerry) of Lynn and Kenneth Upton (Kristin) of Olney, MD; her grandchildren, Kerri, Kelley, Kiley, Bryan, Allen, Tommy, Lynette, Maria, Corey, Corinne, Isabella and Vincent; her adoptive son Alan Spero of Lynn; and her brothers, Kenneth and Herbert Kitchener. She is also survived by great-grandmother of her 20 great-grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews.
