Mark Whelton Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Whelton (Lynn, Massachusetts), born in Saugus, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 15, 2024 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Whelton (Mahoney); and his siblings, David Whelton, Adam Whelton and Cynthia Wilson. He is survived by: his father John Whelton; his daughters, Tiffany Morong and Tara Morong; the parent of his children Penni Morong; and his siblings, John Whelton, Kathleen Coccovillo and Carolyn Gammon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mark was a generous and kind soul, who not only made charitable donations to many organizations but also would give a stranger (who would quickly and easily turn into a friend) the shirt off his back.
