He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Blaney (Saindon); his parents, Francis Blaney and Gladys Blaney (Piper); his son John A. Blaney; and his sister Irma Silva.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Blaney (Leslie), Darlene O'Donnell, Laureen Lewis (Shane) and Daniel Blaney; his close friend Isaura Jakimczyk; and his sister Marilyn Grieves. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
