It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James A. Granese of Lynn, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 12, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Granese and Margaret Granese (Keiffert); his wife Barbara Granese (Walker); his siblings, Ralph Granese and Joan Mclennan; and his son-in-law Tony Moschella.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Granese (Joanne), Linda Austin (Sean) of Newton, NH, Kathy Moriarty (Brian) of Goffstown, NH and Sue Granese of Revere; his grandchildren, Chad, Danielle, Charlie (Stacie), Laura (Rick) and Michael; his great grandchildren, Kyler and Georgia; and his sister Ann Barkhouse. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Solimine Funeral Home - Broadway (426 Broadway, Lynn, MA 01904). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the East Baptist Church (300 Western Ave, Lynn, MA 01904). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Pine Grove Cemetery (145 Boston St, Lynn, MA 01904).
