He is survived by: his wife Felicia Ferreira; his children, Leonardo, Juan Carlos, Luis, Amparo, Gladys, Carmen, Ana and Hilda; and his siblings, Adriana, Mercedez, Isabel, Ramon, Zacarias "Jose", Sigfredo, Jesus and Juan Antonio Gonzales'Chino'.
