He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jackson and Cristalia Jackson; and his siblings, Hubert (Myrtle Jackson), George (Winifred Jackson), Elizabeth (Forrest Hall), Ralph (Geraldine Jackson), Charles (Bernice Jackson), Gloria Jackson, Helen (Robert Murrell), Amelia (Lonnie Sparrow), Horatio (Anita Jackson) and Carl Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Coleman of Stephen's Episcopal Church; his sons, Howard Roger Jackson Jr. and Kurt Jackson; his daughter-in-law Tracy Jackson; his grandchildren, Ariana Jackson, Liana Jackson, Haley, Patrick Carrigan, Lauren Jackson, Alyssa Jackson and Christopher Jackson; his great grandchildren, Savannah Jackson and Charlotte Jackson; his sister-in-law Julia Jackson; his close friend Kenneth Mowbray; and also, Raymond Charles, Reverend Joan Charles and Danielle Charles. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Solimine Funeral Home - Broadway (426 Broadway, Lynn, MA 01904). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (74 S Common St, Lynn, MA 01902). A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Pine Grove Cemetery (145 Boston St, Lynn, MA 01904).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made by mailing a check to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church to support their Food Pantry, a cause close to Howard's heart.
